Hey there, and welcome to my blog!
This is where I’ll be sharing my Salesforce journey, along with real-world problems I’ve run into and how I’ve solved them along the way.
Believe it or not, I didn’t plan on working with Salesforce at all. I kind of stumbled into it. Back in 2016, after a year of teaching elementary math, I moved into a role at the Denver Public Schools’ Central Office because they needed my bilingual skills in English and Vietnamese. About two months in, my manager handed me Salesforce and said, “Build it out.” At the time, I had no clue what Salesforce even was—but I took on the challenge.
That experience ended up teaching me the basics of being a Salesforce Admin, mostly through trial and error. I learned a lot of things the wrong way first… and eventually, the right way too.
Fast forward four years later, I left DPS and joined Dish Network. I was only there for two years, but that role really showed me what Salesforce could do at a larger scale. I learned how to build flows, dig through Apex classes to figure out what caused a bug, and work with JSON files—skills that took my Salesforce knowledge to the next level.
After a couple of pandemic-heavy years, I moved on to manage the Salesforce org at CoEnterprise, a New York–based company, where I’m currently working. I’ve had the chance to work on some really interesting projects, and that’s what inspired this blog. I’ll be writing about projects from my current role as well as past ones, and walking you through the full lifecycle—from start to finish.
